Maxine Foil passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, following years of dealing with the effects of Parkinson’s disease. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at White Mountain Bible Church, located at 3171 E. Show Low Lake Road in Show Low.
She was born in Albuquerque, N.M., on May 26, 1928. Her parents, Percy C. Bagwell and Glada Faye Bagwell, were later divorced. Her mother remarried and moved the family to Winslow when she was four.
After graduating from Winslow High School in 1946, she married David A. Foil Jr. on Oct. 19, 1946. In 1950, they settled in Show Low, where they raised their five children. After living in the same house from 1961 to 2012, they moved to Pinetop as a result of health problems, where they have since lived with their daughter Carolyn.

Maxine supported her husband, raised her children and remained a loyal friend to all those fortunate enough to have known her well. She was loved by the members of her church, White Mountain Bible Church, and remained an active member of two bridge clubs up until her last fall. Her gift of hospitality gained her the friendship and respect of many. She knew how to make you feel special.
Survivors include her husband, David; and her five children, Ron (Terry) Foil, Mike (Sandee) Foil, Sharon (Dan) Alfonsi, Carolyn Jacobs and Paula (Paul) Tankersley. She also had 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, all surviving.

She will be sorely missed until we meet again.
Rather than sending flowers, please donate to White Mountain Bible Church.
