The second suspect in the double murder that occurred in a Torreon neighborhood in 2011 is still eluding Show Low Police detectives even though authorities now know exactly where he’s located.
Jose Eduardo Alvarez-Gamez, 23, has been in police custody in Baja, Mexico, for the past year on robbery charges and is awaiting sentencing for those crimes. Although police hope to have Alvarez-Gamez extradited to face prosecution in Arizona, at this time there is no indication of whether that will take place.
Alvarez-Gamez is a suspect in the stabbing deaths of Christina Wollesen-Felton, 46, and Kevin Richard Meisinger, 45, which occurred at Wollesen-Felton’s Show Low residence nearly three years ago.
Although Alvarez-Gamez managed to escape to Mexico following the murders, Aleksys Lomeli-Garcia was arrested shortly after the incident. He was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to two consecutive life terms in the Arizona Department of Corrections.
