Gary Robert Keams, 52, of Greasewood passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Mesa. Funeral services were held Jan. 30 at the Holbrook Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment followed in the Holbrook Cemetery.
He was born the youngest of 12 children to his parents, the late Jack Keams Sr. and Mary Yazzie Keams, on Oct. 29, 1961, in Ft. Defiance.
Gary lived most of his life in Holbrook and Greasewood. He was a man of many talents that included cooking and welding. He was an excellent auto mechanic, and a jack-of-all trades in home repairs and ranching. He loved playing cards, listening to loud music and watching movies.
Survivors include his children, Kristin Benally, Jodi Keams, Geraldine Keams and Shawn Keams; a grandchild, Reagan Benally; and his siblings, Alice, Johnny, Helen, Nelson, Earl, Clara, Betty, Phyllis, Kara, Margaret and Jack.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook was in charge of the arrangements.
