The results of the January Northeastern Arizona PAL Sportsmen’s Association Handgun Match included: Auto-1, Frank Lucero, Bob Wheeler and Bob Cayton; Auto-2, Tim Gales, Tony Antonovich and Bill McCullough; Revolver, Ken Peshlakai and Allen Papin; and Shotgun, Ken Peshlakai, Bob Wheeler and Craig Morgan.
Stage winners were: first and fourth stages, Frank Lucero; and second and third stages, Craig Morgan.
The first stage was a 12-round standards course with a few “no-shoot” targets, which caused quite a few penalty points. The second stage was a 10-round course. The third stage was a seven-round field course with shooting about barrels and over no-shoot targets. Stage four was a long 22-round field course with walls, windows and, of course, some no-shoot targets.
The next handgun match with categories for pistol and revolver will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. Match fees for members are $5 per gun and for non-members, $8. The group shoots under USPSA/IPSC rules. Bring gloves, water, a snack and a pen.
