Atlanta Hawks Coach Mike Budenholzer and his team will meet the Suns on Sunday, March 2, at US Airways Center in Phoenix, and you are invited to attend.
Budenholzer, a 1988 graduate of Holbrook High School and a standout on the Roadrunner basketball team, will meet and greet friends and fans following the game. Discounted tickets have been set aside for Coach Bud’s classmates, teammates, coaches, friends, teachers and neighbors who would like to attend. Lower level tickets, which come with a free Suns jersey, are regularly $73.75, but are available for $61. Upper level tickets, which come with a free Suns backpack, have a face value of $32.75, but are offered for $22. In addition, the Suns are offering a discount to some seats in section 103 right behind the Hawks bench with access to the club, and free food and drink for $186 each. Those attending should arrive at approximately 4:30 p.m. to watch the pregame warm ups. The game is slated at 6 p.m., and the meet and greet will follow.
The Hawks are 25-25 and second in the NBA’s Southeast Division this season, Budenholzer’s first as a head coach. He was with the San Antonio Spurs for 19 years, including 17 as assistant coach under Coach Gregg Popovich.
Budenholzer’s parents, Libby and Vince Budenholzer, now reside in Queen Valley and Show Low.
