From 1968-1970 he served a fulltime mission for the LDS church in the North British Mission.
When he returned home, he went to Brigham Young University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He worked as an accountant until 1983 when he decided to go back to school and get his Doctorate of Chiropractic.

In 2003 Dale’s health no longer allowed him to work as a chiropractor.
Dale loved his family and friends. He fought hard to stay on this earth with them as long as possible.
