A story regarding the Winslow City Council in the March 14 edition of The Tribune-News did not completely address a concern presented by resident Judy Howell regarding the new animal control facility to be built in the community.
Howell’s comments to the council were regarding her concern that the new facility being built is smaller than the existing facility, indicating that it could house fewer animals and thus lead to the possibility of more animals having to be euthanized since the current facility is usually quite full. She does not have concerns with the current treatment of the animals at the existing facility.
She also expressed concern that money was being spent to upgrade a road outside of city limits when those funds would have been better served to make a larger facility for animal control.
We apologize for any problems these errors may have caused.
