The Joseph City Lady Wildcats dropped all six of their games played last week, losing to St. Johns in a regular season matchup on Thursday, then going 0-5 at the Gracie Haught Tournament in Payson over the weekend.
Joseph City hosted St. Johns in an exciting matchup on Thursday. The home squad battled hard, but coming up two runs short in a 13-11 loss to the Lady Redskins.
The Wildcats then dropped all three pool play games on Friday in the tournament losing to Snowflake, 22-1, Santa Cruz, 13-1 and Estrella Foothills, 18-4.
Their tournament ended quickly on Saturday with bracket losses to Holbrook 12-0 in the morning then a 22-1 loss to St. Johns.
The Cats are taking some much needed time off for spring break and will resume play on Thursday, April 3, in a doubleheader in Red Mesa. Joseph City’s season mark was 2-14 heading into the break.
