In seven innings of play, the Lobos scored in just one, but it was enough to get a 5-1 road win at Blue Ridge last Saturday.
Snowflake broke a scoreless tie with five runs in the top of the third. Blue Ridge got on the board with one run in the home half of the fourth, and that was all the scoring in the Lobo win.
Jarom Beecroft pitched very well on the hill with a complete game win. He faced 30 Yellowjacket batters, giving up just one unearned run on seven hits with eight strikeouts and a pair of walks.
At the dish, Caedon Ervien went 1 for 3, as did Ty Reidhead, Dallin Fusselman, Hunter Bauer and Tyler Hanson. Hanson’s hit was a double. Tanner Crosby was 1 for 2.
With the win the Lobos moved to 9-2 on the season. After playing at Show Low on Tuesday, the team will compete in the three-day Estrella Foothills Tournament beginning on Friday, April 4. On Tuesday, April 8, the Lobos will play the Round Valley Elks in Eagar.
