Photo by Dan Lutzick The owners of La Posada in Winslow took a major environmental step last week with the installation of two Tesla car superchargers. These chargers enable a Tesla electric vehicle to fully charge in just over an hour, allowing for up to 300 miles of travel. This is one in a series of stations that will allow electric cars to drive the length of Route 66 and on across America. Celebrating the occasion are La Posada owners Tina Mion (left) and Allan Affeldt (right), and Tesla Motors founder Elon Musk (center), who was a guest at La Posada.
