Jackie Othel Reynolds went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2014, after a courageous fight with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock this morning (April 4) at the Holbrook Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was born in Knob Creek, Ark., on Sept. 30, 1941, to Oliver and Mamie Reynolds, joining three brothers and one sister. He came to Heber in 1951 at the age of 10, where he attended Heber School to eighth grade graduation. He then hit the work field of timber and lumber, causing his “workaholic” tribute to his life.
Jack married Flora Fitzsimmons and became the father of twins. They moved to Holbrook in 1966, where he worked with Hugh Barton for three years. He purchased the 76 Station in 1969, which began a 45-year career with his customers, who were also his friends. He went to work three days before his death.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Flora; his children, Jackie and Jeannie; four grandchildren, Chanè, Alyssa, Tristan and Brandon; six great-grandchildren, Chase, Cordell, Braedan, Thomas, Faith and Amethyst; a brother, Howard (Shirley); a sister, Cathern (Jerry); and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mamie; and two brothers, Dorr and Dave Reynolds.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook was in charge of the arrangements.Jackie Reynolds
