She was born to Bus and Rose Mead on Aug. 22, 1936, in Winslow.
Patty attended school in Winslow and graduated in 1955. She was proud of the fact that her children and grandchild all graduated from Winslow High. While attending high school, she was a cheerleader for 2 years. Patty was also rodeo queen in 1954.
Soon after graduating from high school, she married the love of her life, Walter Greer, on Nov. 12, 1955. They had four children, Walter Jr., Cindy, Greg and Shelly. Eventually the apple of her eye and the sunshine of her life, her granddaughter Elizabeth Rose Cora was born.
Patty and Walter operated Bus Mead Insurance Agency in Winslow for 24 years. After retirement in 1994, they enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family at their cabin.
Her God, family and friends meant everything to Patty.
She enjoyed oil painting and was quite the artist. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walt; her daughters, Cindy and Shelly; her granddaughter, Elizabeth; her younger brother, Mike Mead and his wife Irene; her sister-in-law, Coraleen Mead; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her older brother, Bill Mead; and her two beloved sons, Walt Jr. and Greg Greer.
We rejoice in the fact that she is with her Savior and her two boys, brother Bill and sons Walt Jr. and Greg.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.Patty Greer
