Originally a drug store, the building had a boarding house and the Harp Hotel on the upper floor. Before being demolished in the late 1960s, the popular cafe became known as a hangout for teenagers and tourists where they could order French fries smothered in gravy, big greasy hamburgers, Cokes and milkshakes. Eventually the Two Stars Cafe was built to replace it, specializing in Chinese food. In more recent years it housed the Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center before their move to the Hubble Building.
