Competing in the fourth annual Cougar Invitational last Thursday in Show Low, the Snowflake Lobos won the boys’ team crown with 132 points and took second in the girls’ competition with 135. Show Low placed second in the boys’ division, followed by Flagstaff in third. The Lady Cougars won their meet with 145 team points, 10 ahead of the Lady Lobos. Flagstaff was third with 113 points. Eleven teams competed in the meet.
In the boys’ 100 meter dash, Drew Schneider finished second; Tanner Willis, fourth; and Lehi Caldwell, ninth.
In the 200 meter dash, Drew Schneider was seventh; and Tyler Lyons, 12th.
In the 400 meter dash, Jordan Gardner placed second; Simon Rutstroem, fifth; and Brayan Garcia-Ruiz, 10th.
In the 800 meter run, John Lunt was sixth; and Ammon Dean, eighth.
In the 1600 meter run, John Lunt finished 12th; Kaydn Davis, 13th; and Joel Hellberg, 18th.
In the 110 meter hurdles, Brenton Ballard placed fourth.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Brenton Ballard took first place; and Ammon Dean, fourth.
The combo of Drew Schneider, Jordan Gardner, Lehi Caldwell and Tanner Willis placed second in the 4×100 meter relay.
In the 4×400 meter relay, the team of Brenton Ballard, Simon Rutstroem, Everett Lunt and Jordan Gardner placed first.
In the 4×800 meter relay Kaydn Davis, Daylon Flake, Ammon Dean and John Lunt teamed up to place fifth.
In the shot put, Eldon McCray was second; Alec Solomon, fourth; and Garrison Touchstone, eighth.
In the discus, Alec Solomon took first place; Garrison Touchstone, sixth; was Eldon McCray, 10th.
In the high jump, Everett Lunt placed first; and Keagan Bjorn, fourth.
In the pole vault, Quentin Scott placed first; and Lehi Caldwell, fourth.
In the long jump, Brenton Ballard placed third; Lukas Staratzky, seventh; and Drew Schneider, ninth.
In the triple jump, Keagan Bjorn was second; and Tanner Willis, third.
In the girls’ 100 meter dash, Sydney Olson placed second; Calla Reed, sixth; and Kadi Johnson, seventh.
In the 200 meter dash, Britlee Merrell placed eighth.
In the 400 meter dash, Britlee Merrell placed fifth.
In the 800 meter run, Natascha Stoffell was sixth; McKala Hatch, 11th; and Emilee Stang, 13th.
In the 1600 meter run, Emilee Stang placed 14th; and Shelby Prestwich, 17th.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Kilee Richards took first place; and Macie Rawlins, sixth.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Kilee Richards took first place; and Elle Flake, fourth.
Sydney Olson, Kadi Johnson, Skylee Scott and Macie Rawlins placed first in the 4×100 meter relay.
Elle Flake, Britlee Merrell, Lilly Perkins and Kilee Richards placed third in the 4×400 meter relay.
McKala Hatch, Emilee Stang, Shelby Prestwich and Natascha Stoffell placed fifth in the 4×800 meter relay.
In the shot put, Hanah Uchytil placed second; Shelby Prestwich, sixth; and Krisann Ashcroft, 13th.
In the discus, Hanah Uchytil placed second; Shelby Reidhead, third; and Mariah Rolow, 10th.
In the high jump, Mikaila Jordan placed second; and Macie Rawlins, fourth.
In the pole vault, Calla Reed and Skylee Scott tied for third.
In the long jump, Kadi Johnson took first place; Sydney Olson, third; and Calla Reed, fourth.
In the triple jump, Kadi Johnson took first place; Macie Rawlins, third; and Britlee Merrell, ninth.
