The Bulldogs defeated the Show Low Cougars 7-1 in Winslow last Wednesday. The win left them with a record of 17-8.
Kuster Kinlecheenie got the win working all seven innings, giving up just one run, which was unearned, on six hits, three walks and two hit batsmen. He fanned two Cougars.
Winslow took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on a walk and a single by Rey Chavez-Velez. The Bulldogs increased the margin to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning on singles by Matt Ramos, Colton Corum, Matt Cirre and Adrian Montoya. Their final runs came in the bottom of the sixth inning on a Show Low error, a hit batsman and a single by Vincenzio Sells. Show Low scored in the top of the seventh inning on a single, a walk and a Winslow error.
Cirre led the Bulldogs at the plate with a 2 for 3 day. Corum was 2 for 4. Chavez-Velez was 1 for 2. Ramos, Montoya and Sells were all 1 for 3, with Montoya having a double.
The Bulldogs will journey to Snowflake today (April 30) to end the regular season against the Lobos.
