The Joseph City Wildcats placed ninth in the girls’ division and 14th in the boys’ at the Winslow Invitational meet last Friday. For the Wildcats, in the girls’ 100 meter dash, Taylor Elmer placed 31st.
In the 200 meter dash, Lindi Gardner finished ninth.
In the 400 meter run, Lindi Gardner placed eighth; and Sarah Layden, 16th.
In the 800 meter run, Shyann Flake placed 21st.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Brooke Baldwin placed third.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Brooke Baldwin placed sixth.
Sarah Layden, Krista Edwards, Taylor Elmer and Lindi Gardner placed ninth in the 4×100 meter relay.
Shyann Flake, Sarah Layden, Anja Mathiesen and Alyssa Hutchens placed 14th in the 4×800 meter relay.
In the shot put, Madison Fields took first place; and Katelyn Pugh, seventh.
In the discus, Katelyn Pugh placed third; and Krista Edwards, 14th.
In the long jump, Alyssa Hutchens placed 30th.
In the boys’ 800 meter run, Landon Baldwin placed 12th; and Landen Hunt, 15th.
In the 1600 meter run, Landen Hunt placed 37th.
Connor Neal, Koby Smith, Lance Farnes and Daniel Hutchens placed 12th in the 4×100 meter relay.
In the shot put, Connor Neal placed 12th.
In the high jump, Koby Smith was fourth; and Aaron Johnstun, eighth.
In the long jump, Lance Farnes was 17th; and Daniel Hutchens, 19th.
In the triple jump, Daniel Hutchens was 11th; and Lance Farnes, 15th.
Today (April 30), the Wildcats will compete in the Snowflake Invitational, which will be their final chance to qualify for the state track meet scheduled on Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10.
