The Snowflake Lobos track team had several athletes excel at Division III State Track Meet last week. Sydney Olson and Quentin Scott came home as individual state champions in their respective events. Olson took first place in the triple jump with a distance of 36-09.  Scott won his title in the pole vault getting up and over 14-00.   Olson also finished third overall in the long jump with a distance of 17-02.

Kilee Richards placed second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 16.16. Jordan Gardner was also a state runner-up placing second in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54. Gardner also finished 4th in the 400 meter run with a time of 49.76.  Everett Lunt finished second place in the high jump clearing 6-04.

Drew Schneider placed 6th in the 100 meter dash finals with a time of 11.47. Brenton Ballard was 6th in the 300 meter hurdles in 41.45. In the triple jump, Tanner Willis finished 5th with a distance of 42-01, Keagan Bjorn was 13th with 40-04, and Kendal Kay placed 19th traveling a distance of 38-10.  In the long jump, Drew Schneider was 15th with 19-06, Brenton Ballard 17th with 19-02, Tenner Willis 21st with 18-05 and Keagan Bjorn placed 22nd with a jump of 17-10.  Bjorn also placed 7th in the high jump with a height of 6-00.  Drew Schneider finished 11th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.30.

Snowflake’s 4 x 100 meter boys relay team placed 11th with a time of 44.86.  Their 4 x 400 meter relay team finished 4th overall with a time of 3:32.

Along with her second place finish in the 100 meter dash, Kilee Richards placed 12th in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 49.65.   In the high jump, Mikaila Jordan and Macie Rawlins finished tied for 15th place clearing 4-08. Calla Reed placed 8th in the pole vault getting up and over 8-06. Reed placed 17th in the long jump with 14-10.  Kadi Johnson placed 6th in the long jump with a distance of 16-03 and she was 11th in the triple jump with 31-06.

Macie Rawlins placed 13th in the triple jump with a distance of 31-01.  Lilly Perkins was 23rd in that event with a jump of 27-11. Hanah Uchytil placed 14th in the discus with a throw of 88-05 and she was also 14th in the shot put with a distance of 30-07.

The Lady Lobos placed 9th in the 4 x 100 meter relay with a time of 53.17, and they were 16th in the 4 x 400 meter relay, finishing in 4:30.

As for the team scores the Lobos boys team finished as the state runner up to Rio Rico. Snowflake finished with 50 team points, well behind state title winner Rio Rico, which had 64.  Blue Ridge placed third as a team with 48.5 team points.   The Lady Lobos finished in 11th position as a team with 27.33 team points.  Mingus took the top spot with 68.33 followed by Fountain Hills in second with 54.50 and Safford in third with 45.33.
