An Arizona District 04 National Barrel Horse Association competition was held May 17 in St. Johns.

In 1-D competition, Michele Stock, riding Mikey, won with a time of 15.850, earning $86; followed by Lisa Johnson on Brice in 15.923, earning $65; London Willis on Macy Grey in 16.148, earning $43; Dereck Curley on Rocky in 16.150, earning $22; Tammy Davis on Beep in 16.237; Gail Campbell on Cash in 16.283; Rosita Singer on Dixie in 16.320; and Kallie Branson on Nitro in 16.344.

In 3-D competition, Lelanie Canez, riding Nellie, won with a time of 19.247, earning $27; followed by Carolee DeWitt on Mojo in 20.138, earning $18; and Rosita Singer on Romeo with no time.

In 1-D competition, Zaine Finch, riding Hank, won with a time of 44.746, earning $24; followed by Dillon Perkins on Russel in 47.792; and Taylor White on Scooter with no time.

In 3-D competition, Patti Swapp, riding Addie Lena, won with a time of 25.431, earning $64; followed by Savannah Stanley on Karmen in 26.157; Debbie Garvin on Jo’s Pistol Dun It in 26.939; Shasta Van Cleave on Woodrow in 29.518; Taylor White on Scooter in 41.610; and Savannah Stanley on Topaz with no time.

The next District 04 barrel race will be held on Saturday, June 7, at the Navajo County Fairgrounds in Holbrook. Books will open at 8 a.m., followed by pee wees at 9:45 a.m. and the open race at 10 a.m.
