Snowflake’s golf team placed 13th at the Division III state tournament held last Friday and Saturday at the Antelope Hills Golf Course in Prescott. Valley Christian took the team title with 583 strokes. Estrella Foothills placed second with 602 and Phoenix Country Day was third with 606. Blue Ridge finished fourth with 643, followed by Payson in fifth place with 659. The Lobos finished with 687 strokes.
Parker Nielson shot the low score for Snowflake, finishing 50th with a 36-hole total of 167 after posting a 78 on the first day followed by an 89 on day two. Gunner Caldwell tied for 59th with a 172. Tyson Binnie tied for 63rd, shooting a 173. Garson Hatch posted a two-day total of 179 to finish tied for 78th. Cade Solomon tied for 82nd place with a 182.
Andrew Garner of Phoenix Country Day won the individual title in a sudden death playoff with Gavin DeFisser from Valley Chrisitian. They shot 140 over the regulation 36 holes.
