A stabbing incident that occurred early Sunday morning in Holbrook led to the hospitalization of a man and the arrest of a woman in connection with the assault.
At 12:37 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, Holbrook police officers were dispatched to Circle K, located at 101 Mission Lane, in reference to a man who had been stabbed in the parking lot. When officers arrived they found the 32-year-old victim bleeding profusely from a neck wound. Officers provided first aid to the victim until Holbrook EMS arrived and transported him to a waiting helicopter. The victim’s condition was listed as good, and he has been discharged from the hospital.
An investigation into the circumstances led officers to a residence at 113 Anita Drive, where they found evidence of the stabbing. It was determined that the victim had been stabbed at the residence and then made his way on foot to the Circle K, where he collapsed.
Officers arrested Annie Monique Gabaldon, 32, of Holbrook on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence. She was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
A second subject, John Robinson, 29, also of Holbrook, was taken into custody at the residence and booked into the county jail on a probation warrant.
Police noted that the name of the victim is being withheld until the investigation is complete, and additional charges may be pending.
