Members of Snowflake-Taylor American Legion, Post 126 raise a new flag that will fly over the Veterans Monument on Main Street and Center Street in Taylor. The monument is engraved with the names of those who served the United States during wartime. Everyone is encouraged to come by and feel the spirit of the monument.
Jezebel, owned by Lee and Diana Garcia, pulls 5,560 lbs. at the weight pull competition held during Trapper Days. The winning dog pulled 7,700 lbs.
The Soap Box Derby races were new to Trapper Days this year, and were a great success. Kids paid a $1 fee to race down Center Street.
Clarence Davis (left), a World War II veteran, received the flag that had flown over the Veterans Monument from Taylor Mayor Fay Hatch at the Memorial Program.
Haylee Farr sang God Bless America to begin the Veterans Memorial Program.
