The Taylor Independence Day celebration will kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 4, with the Cowboy Poetry and Country Music program at Rodeo Park.
Saturday’s festivities begin at 5 a.m. with the firing of the anvil and serenades by the Jennings Band.
The Celebration Run 10K and two-mile races follow at 6 a.m.
The patriotic program is slated at 10 a.m. at the Taylor Stake Center.
At 11:30 a.m. there will be country music at Rodeo Park. The barbecue opens at 5 p.m., followed by Taylor’s 60th annual Night Rodeo at 7 p.m. at the Rodeo Arena.
A fireworks display is planned at 9 p.m., and the dance at the pavilion will begin at 9:30 p.m. and continue until midnight.
