The results of the April Northeastern Arizona PAL Sportsmen’s Association Handgun Match included: Auto-1, Craig Morgan and Ron Piotrowski; Auto-2, Norm Messenger and Tony Antonovich; and Revolver, Ron Piotrowski and George Baum. Stage winners were: first stage, Ron Piotrowski; and second, third and fourth stages, Craig Morgan. The first stage was an 18-round standards course with a few tough “no-shoot” targets, which caused quite a few penalty points. There were reloads and weak hand shooting involved. The second stage was an 18-round V-drill tactical course that involved shooting around cover. Again, the no-shoot targets resulted in quite a few penalty points. The third stage was a 19-round tactical course with movement and no-shoot targets. Stage four was a six-round speed course. The next handgun match with categories for pistol and revolver will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 12. Match fees for members are $5 per gun and for non-members, $8. The group shoots under USPSA/IPSC rules. Bring gloves, water, a snack and a pen.
