Antimo “Andy” DeAngelis passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Winslow. Funeral services were held July 16 at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel in Winslow. Interment followed at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.
Antimo was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Cansano, Italy.
He moved to Arizona in 1946 and went to work for the railroad as a blacksmith, retiring in the mid-1970s. After leaving the railroad, he dedicated his time to running DeAngelis Fabric and Notions, which he and his wife opened in 1968.
Survivors include his brother Danny (Flossie) of Albuquerque, N.M.; his sister, Edith of Fullerton, Calif.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella May; his parents, Salvatore and Antonia DeAngelis; and two brothers, Rosindo and Geovanni.
