Ruby Yellowhair, 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in Lakeside. A prayer service was held July 26 at Madre de Dios Catholic Church in Winslow. Interment followed in Desert View Cemetery in Winslow. She was born on May 21, 1939, to John and Ella Mae Yellowhair in Low Mountain. Ruby was an accomplished rug weaver. Survivors include her two sons, Jackie Yazzie and Lorenzo Keams; three daughters, Rita Keams-Yazzie, Stella Keams-Bahe and Alfonda Manybeads; a sister, Eleanor Lee; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, John Yellowhair, and mother, Ella Mae King; four brothers, Sam H. Yazzie, Benjamin Garner, Tony Kenny and Bennie Kabinto; and two sisters, Esther Chee and Elouise Cambridge. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
