Winslow Democrat Boyce “BJ” Little is seeking election as Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank the voters in Precinct 2 of Navajo County for placing my name on the ballot for the upcoming election of Justice of the Peace,” stated Little.
“I have had the complete honor of serving the last 20 years of my professional career working with the families, children and individuals within the communities of Precinct 2. I have served within the judicial branch of government as a Navajo County deputy probation officer and supervisor for 14 years, and in the addiction and family treatment profession of Community Counseling Centers for six years. My commitment to my community is demonstrated through action and years of loyalty, not through promises or intentions.
“My years of service as a judicial officer and treatment provider have presented me with great opportunities to work in our local Navajo and Hopi communities, while granting me the ability to establish key relationships with stakeholders necessary to address challenges and promote change and growth. Understanding both our culture with our city of Winslow and our tribal communities is key to our community success, and has significant relevance to managing our crime and mental health/substance abuse needs. Once again, thank you.”
