Margaret Marie Snider, 76, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014. A sing-a-bration memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Faith Assembly of God in Holbrook. A potluck will follow the service.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1937, to the late Ervin James Berry and Gladys Mildred (Malchow) Berry. She attended high school in Havana, Kans.
Margaret married Herman Eugene Snider on Nov. 10, 1959, and they had three girls, Eugenia, Jan and Teresa.
In the summer of 1973, they came out to visit Twin Wells Indian School in Sun Valley. They stayed at Bitahochee to help the Watsons until June 1974. They went on to California to see family, then returned to Kansas until August 1978 when they traveled back to Sun Valley to work at Twin Wells. They moved to Holbrook in 1981.
Survivors include her three daughters, Eugenia Marie Waldroop and Jan Lea (Snider) Schultz, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Teresa Lynn Snider of Holbrook; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, William Berry; and a sister, Elizabeth Holeman.
