Deanne Romo is the current elected Clerk of the Superior Court for Navajo County. She is running for re-election as the Democratic candidate. She is a lifelong resident of Navajo County and is married to Tommy Romo. Together they have raised three children, Nicki Garcia, Tommy Romo and Aleah Cicotte.
“As my first term comes to a close, I am proud of the major changes undertaken in this office that have further enriched Navajo County’s strategic goals: teamwork, accountability, integrity, excellence and innovation,” stated Romo. “I have conducted a top-to-bottom review of all operations, and implemented a new workflow process that emphasizes customer service through a combination of efficient use of resources and orderly processing of documents.
“I implemented several new processes, including the cross-training of all deputy clerks in the standard workflow processes now used by this office, the introduction of a consolidated document workflow that supports both paper and digital records management, and a ‘Flex’ scheduling system which provides deputy clerks the ability to balance their personal and professional lives.
“Innovations in the workflow process have added a new level of accountability and emphasis on integrity, while at the same time bringing a new level of teamwork to an organization whose role in the daily operations of the Superior Court cannot be understated. I am proud of the effort put forth by my deputy clerks in adapting to a new process while continuing to provide a customer service experience that sets Navajo County apart from the traditional ‘government’ experience.
“I would appreciate your support, and look forward to seeing you all at the polls on Aug. 26 and again on Nov. 4. Thank you again for your continued support.”
