Snowflake Unified School District has been celebrating the recently announced school ratings.

“It’s a tribute to the hard work put in by our staff,” said District Superintendent Hollis Merrell.

“We look forward to a very good year,” he continued. “It’s pretty neat the things that are happening.”

Merrell pointed out that they were two points away from being an A district, and noted that there are only seven A districts in the county.

“Our high school is one of two “A” schools in the county and Snowflake Junior High School is one of the high performing schools in the county, even though it’s a B school, missing the A by one point. Snowflake Intermediate School is also an A school,” said the superintendent.

“Congratulations to our staff for all the work they’ve put into getting us to this point. We’ve got a lot of work to do still.”
