Voters in the Snowflake Unified School District (SUSD) will fill two four-year terms on the district’s governing board and one two-year term in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Those seats are currently held by John Stewart, Carole Owens and Cory Johnson.
Candidates vying for the two four-year terms are incumbent Carole Owens, and Amy Johnson, Beverlee Kay, Charles Foote and Terry Stratton. Incumbent Cory Johnson is the only candidate for the two-year term.
Write-in candidates have until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, to file for contested races, which would be the four-year terms. The filing date for write-ins for the uncontested race, the two-year term, has passed.
