The Lady Roadrunners continued their unbeaten streak in regular season matches with a 3-1 win over Show Low Tuesday night. Despite playing shorthanded due to a couple of missing players, Holbrook took the first two games 25-13 and 25-18. Show Low countered by winning game three 25-19 only to see the night end with Holbrook closing out the match with a 25-14 game four decision. With the win the Roadrunners improved to 5-0 on the season.
Shayna Carlson played one of her better matches of the season, finishing with 12 kills, 2.5 blocks and five digs. Terrilyn Lester tacked on five aces, 10 kills, two blocks and 12 digs. Lauren Silversmith added four kills and 13 digs. Dishie Kinlicheenie had one assist, a half of a block and two digs. Dena Kinlicheenie finished with six assists and 12 digs. Demi Phaturos contributed two kills, an assist and played well on defense with 33 digs. Ashley Attakai added a kill and three digs. Alex Jeffers-Sample served one ace, and had a kill, a block, 23 assists and 11 digs. Adriana Monroe helped with four kills, an assist and 19 digs.
After hosting Chinle on Saturday, Sept. 27, Holbrook will play at Hopi on Tuesday, Sept. 30, then host Valley Sanders on Thursday, Oct. 2.
