Robert Ogilvy “Bob” Heming went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, in Snowflake. He was born at 4 a.m. on Dec. 8, 1931, to Frank Austin Heming and Lilian Margret Heming in Roblin, Manitoba, Canada. Bob grew up in Roblin, and graduated from Roblin High School. He attended Brandon College (now Brandon University) in Brandon, Manitoba. He had a great laugh, and was an avid bird hunter and loved to hunt in Roblin. Bob resided in Overgaard during the past 25 years. He loved the Arizona mountains. He had the honor of being president of the Heber/Overgaard Senior Center for several years. He volunteered with the Lions Club for many years, both in Canada and the United States. He also had the honor of being president of the Phoenix Firebird Lions Club and several other Lions Clubs through the years. Bob was vice president of FCA for the Western Division in the United States. Bob Jr. and Richard will remember many a hunting trip with their father, so many memories, so many birds. All the children enjoyed fishing with their father. Bob Jr. and Kevin will also remember so many camping/hunting trips in the Arizona mountains. Oh, the “Beans and Weenies”… Bob was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. We love you, Dad! Survivors include six children, Cheryl Ann Heming of Winnipeg Manitoba, Patricia Lynn Boehler of Republic, Mo., Lyndsey Denise Callander of Duncan, British Columbia, Robert Clay Austin Heming of Overgaard, Richard Clay Arthur Heming, of Victoria, British Columbia, and Tami Lyn Heming, of Peoria. Robert was the last surviving child of Frank and Lilian Heming. He had three brothers and two sisters, in order of birth, John Kieth “Jack” Heming, Frank Austin Heming Jr., Dorothy Joyce Giles, Cynthia Margaret Lawrence and Edward Davis “Ted” Hemming. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
