Navajo County Fair, Inc., is accepting letters of intent for the annual election scheduled at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, in the Open Class Building at the county fairgrounds in Holbrook.
To serve as a director on the Navajo County Fair Board, you must be sponsored by a current director and submit your letter of intent with a bio, you must be 18 years of age or older, and a resident of Navajo County for not less than one year. All letters of intent must be received in the Navajo County Fair Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22.
The fair board consists of 21 directors. The term of an elected director is three years. Directors are elected by the majority vote of the voting members present. To be a voting member at the annual meeting, you must be 18 years of age and a resident of Navajo County for not less than one year, and indicate attendance by signing in with the secretary and showing proper ID no later than 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 7, or be approved as a voting member by the board of directors after making a written application.
