Isidro David Garcia, 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low under the care of Hospice. Services were held March 21 at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake.
Survivors include five children, Steven Garcia of Oregon, Roy (Christy) Garcia of Maricopa, Karlee Garcia of Show Low, Juan Garcia of Conner, Texas, and Alena Garcia also of Conner; five grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria (Bill) Hargett, Delfina (Bob) Mercer and Ernestina Garcia; and lots of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Magdalena Garcia; three brothers; and two sisters.
David, as most people knew him, served in the United States Navy. After his discharge he worked at the paper mill and then went to work at road construction.
He suffered a heart attack at the age of 45 and was unable to work after that. He was a good car mechanic and did a little of that until his next heart attack and then was unable to work at all.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake was in charge of the arrangements.
