“Smile, even when you’re down. It will make you feel better, and make those around you feel better, even strangers in the grocery store. Such a small thing can cause so much positive energy.”
–LaDonna Lynn Wiley
It is these small, simple words that show what a kind, charismatic and compassionate person she was.
LaDonna graduated from Holbrook High School in 1986, then went on to the University of Arizona, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in child development and family relations in 1989.
It was at this point in her life that she moved to Flagstaff, where she lived for 10 years. Like the intellectual she was, she continued her education, receiving a master’s degree in management from the University of Phoenix/Northern Arizona in 1998.
In 2000, she moved to Ohio. She had a constant thirst for knowledge and when she had the chance, she always educated others so they could better themselves.
It was a bittersweet passing of LaDonna on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. She is finally reunited with her son Andrew Jonathan Anderson Wiley, who passed away on Oct. 26, 2014, and whom she loved more than anything. She will be missed dearly by her parents, Perry J. Wiley and Julia H. Wiley; her siblings, Belinda, John, Eric, Annjeanette, Rose and Trista; her many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and an abundance of friends in Arizona and Ohio.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the San Francisco de Asis Parish Church, located at 1600 E. Route 66 in Flagstaff.
Norvel Owens Mortuary of Flagstaff was in charge of the arrangements.
