Joseph City finished 12th in the boys’ competition and eighth in the girls’ at the 26- team invitational track meet held last Friday in Winslow. The Wildcats were the highest finishing Division IV teams in both competitions.
In the boys’ 100 meter dash, Wryder Richards placed 21st; and Conner Neal, 35th.
In the 200 meter dash, Wryder Richards placed 12th.
In the 400 meter dash, Max Mosier placed 19th; Landon Baldwin, 26th; Kendall Gardner, 46th; and Stephen Williams, 48th.
In the 800 meter run, Brandon Billie was 38th; and Kendall Gardner, 55th.
In the 1600 meter run, Brandon Billie was 33rd.
In the 3200 meter run, Brandon Billie was 35th; and Stephen Williams, 42nd.
In the 110 meter hurdles, Koby Smith finished ninth.
The quartet of Landon Baldwin, Conner Neal, Joe Burt and Max Mosier placed sixth in the 4×100 meter relay.
In the shot put, Conner Neal placed 10th; Bryson Palmer, 32nd; and Brandon Yazzie, 51st.
In the discus, Brandon Yazzie finished 40th.
In the high jump, Koby Smith was seventh; and Aaron Johnstun, 10th.
In the long jump, Matt Fields placed second.
In the triple jump, Matt Fields claimed first place.
In the girls’ 100 meter dash, Lindi Gardner finished ninth; and Taylor Elmer, 20th.
In the 200 meter dash, Lindi Gardner finished second.
In the 400 meter dash, Lindi Gardner placed second; and Sarah Layden, ninth.
In the 100 meter hurdles Rachel Layden finished 15th.
In the 300 meter hurdles Rachel Layden placed eighth.
The team of Sarah Layden, Lindi Gardner, Taylor Elmer and Amanda Baldwin finished eighth in the 4×100 meter relay.
In the 4×800 meter relay, Rachel Layden, Alyssa Hutchens, Sarah Layden and Shyann Flake placed fifth.
In the shot put, Katelyn Pugh placed fourth; and Scottie Ballew, 41st.
In the discus, Katelyn Pugh finished second; and Scottie Ballew, 27th.
In the long jump, Alyssa Hutchens placed 24th
