The Painted Desert Kiwanis Club is organizing a community trash pick-up day on Saturday morning, June 6, meeting at 8 a.m. at Hunt Park in Holbrook. Volunteers are needed!

Working in partnership with the City of Holbrook, which will provide safety vests and garbage bags, as well as a truck to pick up all the filled bags, the Kiwanis Club has divided the city in various zones. Volunteers, as individuals, couples, a family or a group, can choose which part of the city they want to clean up.

In addition to having our community more attractive for our own residents, one of the club’s goals is to have the city looking good for the many visitors we hope to have at the Route 66 Festival the following Saturday, June 13, as well as for Wild West Days the following month, July 10-11.

Please come and lend a hand. If you have questions, contact Kiwanis Club President Jeff Johnson at 524-2718 or peace.lutheran.holbrook@gmail.com.
