Karl R. Kahlberg of Snowflake passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015, after battling cancer.
He was an only child, and was born in Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 23, 1936.
He moved to California and then to Arizona. He was a truck driver for 55 years and had the fun opportunity in his life to race a big rig. He was a deputy reserve sheriff for Ventura County, Calif. He was in the Army for six years.
He loved old cars and car shows, and earned several trophies. In the last seven years he built a large log home, in which he passed away.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Green; his son, David; two daughters, Diane and Debbie; and six granddaughters, Amanda, Danielle, Emily, Jennifer, Carolyn and Annette.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
