The Taylor Town Council approved a $6,098,347 budget for the 2015-16 fiscal year Aug. 6.
A public hearing was held prior to the council vote, but no one spoke in favor of or opposing the budget.
“We haven’t heard any feedback on the budget for or against,” said Town Manager Gus Lundberg, who noted that the budget was posted on the town’s website and had been published in the newspaper.
Lundberg explained that approval of the budget sets a statutory expenditure limitation of $6,098,345.
“We continuously monitor the expenses,” said the town manager. “I feel we’re taking a quite conservative approach. We have an exceptional staff that gets by with little resources.”
