Chalcedony Lodge No. 6, Free and Accepted Masons, will host its annual barbeque on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, at the Jeffers’ Ranch in Holbrook. The menu is deep-pit slow roasted beef with beans, slaw, fresh sweet corn and homemade desserts. Organizers have been promised good weather, but even if it rains there is room in the barn for everyone. The Masons will be serving from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until the food runs out. Takeout orders are welcome, and limited deliveries can be made.
This is the Masons’ major fundraiser of the year, as well as a chance to get together and socialize. All of the proceeds of this barbeque go toward the lodge’s community activities, including the Clothe-a-Child program at Christmas time, the annual Masonic essay contest and local scholarships. Through the proceeds from this year’s barbeque, they hope to be able to continue to serve the community.
Everyone is invited. Call (928) 241-1827, 241-0113 or 241-8620 on the day of the barbecue if you have questions or would like delivery.
