Thanks to funds allocated by the city council, members of the Holbrook Police Department were able to visit Head Start Preschool earlier this week to talk to the kids about gun safety, stranger danger and knowing when to dial 911. Each young student was given a coloring book and other items inside a Trick-or-Treat bag, as well as a tour of the patrol cars. The effort is to help the youngsters realize that the officers can be trusted and are there to help them when they need it, as evidenced by Lt. Jack Arend (right) helping Judy McLaws put her boot back on while Chief Mark Jackson (left) shows the other kids what the patrol cars are like from the inside.
