Both Joseph City basketball teams were slated to open the season Tuesday on the road at Williams.

They both also face rival Mogollon very early in the season when the two schools meet in Heber on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and both will play in the Williams Route 66 Holiday Classic which begins two days later.

Their fans will have their first chance to watch the teams play at home when they host Shonto Prep on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Darrel Mosier takes over as the head coach for the Wildcats. Players currently listed on the varsity roster include seniors Forester Flake, Koby Smith, Tristan Richard, Daniel Tegert and Tyler Brinkley, juniors Troy Poudrier and Aaron Johnstun, and sophomores Rance Haddox and Matt Fields.
