Snowflake’s Lady Lobos went 1-2 in the games they played last week.
They opened that stretch in Winslow with a hard fought 60-57 win over the Lady Bulldogs. The Lobos trailed by three at the half, but rallied in the fourth quarter to get the critical section win. Tori Flake led the team in scoring with a 19-point effort. Audrey Livingston and Nikita Olms added 8 each; Breklee Tanner and Melissa Eich, 7 each; Emily Ballard, 6; Elle Flake, 4; and Makayla Hall, 1.
On Friday Snowflake welcomed in a very talented Page team and hung tough before falling 51-39. The Lobos trailed by just five at the half and by only seven heading into the fourth, where they were outscored 15-10. Tori Flake finished with 12 points. Elle Flake added 9; Olms, 6; Eich, 4; Hall, 3; Ballard and Livingston, 2 each; and Madison Butler, 1.
On Saturday the Lobos made the long trip to Monument Valley and left for home with a 64-52 loss to the Lady Mustangs.
The Lobos have another three-game schedule ahead this week, with all three played on their home floor. Tonight (Jan. 27) they host Tuba City, on Thursday, Jan. 28, Alchesay comes to town and on Saturday, Jan. 30, they will welcome in a woeful Apache Junction team. Their final week of the regular season will have them at Window Rock on Tuesday, Feb. 2, followed by their final regular season home game with Many Farms on Friday, Feb. 5.
Snowflake headed into this week 14-8 overall on the season and is 8-5 in power point contests.
