The Holbrook High School Community Blood Drive will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, in the lobby of Muñoz Gym on the school campus.
Due to Zika Virus risk, people who have traveled to the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico), Mexico, or Central or South America in the past 28 days cannot give blood. This has reduced the number of donors at United Blood Services’ blood drives and donor centers. Every day, patients in 64 Arizona hospitals depend upon 500 United Blood Services’ donors. New blood donors are urgently needed to help replace the donors lost from the new Zika Virus travel deferral. Eligible donors are urged to give at the community blood drive.
To make an appointment, call 1-877- 827-4376) or go online to www.BloodHero.com, then enter your city or zip code.
