Elaine Demarest Savage passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at her home in Payson with family by her side. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.
She was born June 23, 1917.
Elaine married Coleman Savage on June 25, 1936, and they were married 65 years.
She was legal secretary to John Clark, then later a homemaker. She loved to sew, crochet, paint, stain glass, carve Kachina dolls, and do other arts and crafts.
Survivors include her daughter, Nelaine Lowry; three grandkids, John Bolton (Carmella), Susie Carlson (Mike) and Patrick Lowry (Karen); six great-grandkids, Lawrence Bolton (Lisa), Alicia Lopez (Michael), Shawn Bolton (Tonja), Brandon Bolton, and Tyler and Megan Lowry; and eight great-great-grandkids, Elyna, J.P. and Olivia Lopez, Mando, Luke and Isabella Bolton, and Alyssa and Quinton Bolton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman; her mother and father, Ruth and Fred Demarest; and her son-in-law, Pat Lowry.
