Winslow citizens have voted to continue with the one percent sales tax, renewing the tax that has been in place for decades for five more years.
The city had a 32 percent voter turnout March 8, with 692 voting in favor of continuing the tax and 345 opposing it. One ballot was left blank.
Twenty-five percent of all proceeds from the tax will be transferred to Little Colorado Medical Center, with the remainder to go the city for improvements.
