The Lady Lobos of Snowflake piled up 55 total runs while winning the three games they played last week.
They started the week with an 8-0 win in Holbrook on Tuesday. The Lobos scored just once in the first three frames, but they opened the floodgates in the fourth to roll to the win. Tori Flake controlled the Lady Roadrunners from the circle, allowing just five scattered hits while striking out seven Holbrook batters.
At the plate Eilee Penrod went 1 for 4 and scored once. Madison Butler was 3 for 4 with an RBI and scored once. Flake helped her own cause, going 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and scored once. Mikayla Hall was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and scored twice. Hallie Bauer went 1 for 3 with an RBI and scored a run. Keltcee Hensley went 1 for 4 with an RBI and scored a run. Shaelee Hensley went 2 for 4 and scored a run. Bailey Standerfer went 2 for 3 with an RBI.
On Wednesday the Lobos defeated Maryvale 25-0 in five short innings. Nine first innings runs set the pace for the big win. Breklee Tanner worked four innings, giving up just two hits with five strikeouts and walked only one.
At the plate several Lobo batters had what was essentially batting practice. Tanner went 5 for 5; Penrod, 5 for 5; Chandler Johnson, 2 for 2; Butler, 2 for 2; Flake, 1 for 1; Hall, 4 for 4; Bauer, 2 for 3; Keltcee Hensley, 3 for 3; Shaelee Hensley, 2 for 5; and Standerfer, 2 for 4.
Friday’s game at Camelback was similar to Wednesday’s game for the Lobos. This time they did give up two runs, but still had plenty of success at the plate in the 22-2 win. Penrod was 4 for 5; Johnson, 1 for 2; Flake, 2 for 4; Hall, 4 for 4; Bauer, 1 for 4; Keltcee Hensley, 3 for 5; Shaelee Hensley, 2 for 3; and Standerfer, 2 for 4.
In the circle, Bauer worked three innings, giving up just two hits with two strikeouts and walked one. Tanner allowed two runs on four hits with three walks and two strikeouts in two innings of work.
Snowflake is now 5-3-1 on the season. This weekend the Lobos will have plenty of action at the Gracie Haught tournament in Payson. On Tuesday, March 22, they will host Morenci, followed by a home game against Show Low the next day.
