The Winslow Bulldogs lost to the Show Low Cougars 9-5 last Saturday, but defeated the Youngker Roughriders 8-0 on Wednesday and the Poston Butte Broncos 18-7 on Friday. The results left the Bulldogs with a 6-7 record for the season.
Kuster Kinlecheenie took the loss to Show Low, giving up nine runs, only three of which were earned, on just six hits and three walks in five innings of work. Junior Villanueva worked two innings in relief and gave up just two hits.
At the plate, C.J. Chacon and Akeem Foster were each 2 for 4 for the Bulldogs, with Foster having a double and four RBIs. Darrien “Peanut” Brown was 1 for 2 with a double. Nate Hollins, K.C Clay and Villanueva were all 1 for 3, with Hollins having a triple.
In the win over Youngker, Matt Ramos went the full seven innings on the mound, giving up only three hits and a walk while fanning eight.
Hollins was 3 for 3 at the plate and Chacon was 2 for 2. Rey Chavez-Velez was 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Kinlicheenie was 1 for 3 with a double. Foster and Villanueva were both 1 for 4.

Every Bulldog hit safely, led by Kinlecheenie, Brown and Chavez-Velez, who were all 2 for 3, with Brown belting two doubles and Chavez-Velez, one. Ramos, Foster and Matt Bollin were all 2 for 4, with Ramos pasting a double. Hollins was 2 for 5 and Villanueva was 1 for 3.
The Bulldogs will play the Mingus Marauders today (March 30) in Cottonwood, host the Chino Valley Cougars on Friday, April 1, and meet the Cougars in Show Low on Tuesday, April 5.
