Holbrook finished ninth among 15 teams in the boys’ division of the Mogollon Early Meet held last Friday with nine team points and seventh in the girls’ competition with 36. Snowflake won the boys’ title with 219.5 points, followed by Show Low with 149 and Payson with 96. The Lobos also won the girls’ side with 142 points. Show Low was second with 141.5 and Ganado was third with 99.
For Holbrook in the boys’ 100 meter dash, Johnathan Dawson placed 11th with a time of 12.36; and Jeffrey Jones, 14th.
In the 200 meter dash, Johnathan Dawson placed ninth with a time of 24.91; and Wazuri Waits, 10th.
In the 400 meter run, Johnathan Dawson placed ninth with a time of 55.60; Kyle Baldwin, 28th; and Spencer Williams, 33rd.
In the 800 meter run, Weston Williams placed 21st with a time of 2:29.
In the 1600 meter run, Diyanni Yazzie placed sixth with a time of 5:10; and Weston Williams, 18th.
In the 3200 meter run, Jaron Woody placed third with a time of 11:07.
In the 110 meter hurdles, Kyle Baldwin placed 17th with a time of 20.66.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Kyle Baldwin placed 12th with a time of 53.22; and Carmichael Byjoe, 14th.
In the shot put, Carmichael Byjoe placed 16th with a toss of 33-04; Nolan Joe, 23rd; Spencer Williams, 31st; and Joseph Ambrose, 41st.
In the discus, Joseph Ambrose placed 34th with a throw of 67-02.
In the long jump, Jeffrey Jones placed 13th with a distance of 17-06.
In the triple jump, Jeffrey Jones placed 18th, covering a distance of 33-04.
In the girls’ 100 meter dash, Darian Hollins took first place with a time of 13.42.
In the 200 meter dash, Darian Hollins took first place with a time of 28.38.
In the 800 meter run, Kiah Demuth placed 20th with a time of 3:03; and Morgan Zahne, 25th.
In the 1600 meter run, Kiah Demuth placed 11th with a time of 6:43; and Morgan Zahne, 23rd.
In the 3200 meter run, Kiah Demuth placed ninth with a time of 15:02; and Morgan Zahne, 14th.
In the shot put, Mallory Nelson finished 15th with a toss of 22-06; and Shayna Carlson, 23rd.
In the discus, Shayna Carlson placed 11th with a throw of 69-07; and Mallory Nelson, 19th.
Darian Hollins won her third event of the day placing first.
In the long jump, Darian Hollins won her third event of the day, placing first with a distance of 16-04.
In the triple jump, Darian Hollins placed third with a distance of 30-02.
