Holy Week Services Continue

March 25th, 2008


In celebration of Good Friday, an Ecumenical Tenebrae Service will be held from 12 noon to 3 p.m. today (March 21) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 212 E. Arizona St. in Holbrook, and members of other congregations are invited to attend. At 7 p.m., a Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion will be held, including Holy Communion.
    “The Living Last Supper” will be presented at 7 o’clock tonight and Saturday, March 22, at the First Assembly of God, located at 500 Mission Lane in Holbrook. A reception will be held following each per-formance. Everyone is invited to attend the seventh annual presentation of this powerful story.
    On Holy Saturday, April 7, an Easter Vigil Mass will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe.
    An Easter Sunday Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on March 23, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for children. The regular 5 p.m. Sunday Mass will not be offered.
    Easter services are planned at most area churches during their regular service times. All are open to residents and visitors alike.
